Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and RateQ for use of the website, dashboards, and related services.

If you use RateQ on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company. If you do not agree, do not use RateQ.

RateQ is a platform for company listings and customer reviews in Qatar. We provide tools for reviewers, companies, and administrators. We are not a party to disputes between customers and businesses, except as described in the resolution process.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Listings, ratings, and reviews reflect user and company submissions plus our moderation rules; they are not an official government rating.

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Reviewers and companies have different capabilities. Company accounts cannot submit customer reviews. We may require email or phone verification before certain actions, such as posting a review.

Companies must submit truthful profile information. Some changes and legal documents may require admin approval before they appear publicly.

Project images may be watermarked by RateQ when approved. You grant RateQ a licence to host, display, watermark, and distribute the content you upload in connection with your listing.

You must have the rights to any photos, logos, and text you submit. Do not impersonate another business.

Reviews must be based on a genuine experience with the company. You agree not to post fake, paid-for-without-disclosure, defamatory, abusive, or unlawful content, and not to include others’ private information without a lawful basis.

RateQ may require proof files. Submitting a review does not guarantee publication. Reviews typically remain pending until moderated or until the resolution process is complete.

You grant RateQ a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, display, translate, and moderate your review on the platform. You remain responsible for what you write.

RateQ may approve, reject, hold, edit-request, or delete reviews, replies, reports, projects, and profile content that violate these Terms or our policies.

We may remove published content later if we receive a valid report, legal request, or find a policy breach. Admin decisions are made to protect users and the integrity of ratings.

For some negative reviews, an administrator may send the review to a company–reviewer resolution process. The company may need to choose a 7- or 14-day window within 24 hours. If it does not, the review can return to admin.

During or after that window, the reviewer may edit, withdraw, or (after the deadline) proceed to admin. The company is informed of the reviewer’s decision. Only approved reviews appear on the public company page.

Resolution does not guarantee a private settlement. RateQ does not mediate commercial claims, refunds, or legal disputes.

Companies may reply to published reviews. Replies are subject to moderation and must remain professional.

Anyone may report a published review they believe is fake or policy-breaking. False or abusive reports may lead to action against the reporter’s account.

You must not misuse RateQ, including by attempting unauthorised access, scraping at a volume that harms the service, manipulating ratings, harassing others, or using the platform for spam or unlawful advertising.

RateQ’s name, logo, design, and software are owned by RateQ or its licensors. You may not copy the platform or use our marks without permission, except for ordinary use of the public site.

User content remains owned by the person or company that submitted it, subject to the licences in these Terms.

Reviews are opinions of users, not statements of fact by RateQ. We do not guarantee that any company, review, rating, or project description is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.

RateQ is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by Qatar law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RateQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for losses arising from user content, business decisions based on reviews, or downtime.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Qatar law.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, harm other users, or create legal or security risk. You may stop using RateQ at any time. Provisions that should survive (including licences already granted for published content, liability limits, and governing law) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. Courts in Qatar have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
